From ODOT: An overturned semi truck is partially blocking OR 126 (Florence-Eugene Hwy)approximately four miles east of Mapleton in Lane County (MP 18.5). Traffic is being flagged through the area. The highway may experience temporary closures as the semi is righted. Motorists should anticipate delays. In addition, motorists should be prepared for extreme winter travel conditions throughout the day on highways at all elevations in Lincoln,Linn,Benton, Lane and parts of Marion counties. ODOT has been plowing and sanding highways through the night but snow is expected to fall during much of the day. Motorists should consider delaying travel or be prepared to travel on snow and ice.

Central Coast Fire and Yachats Fire are enroute to 465 Double Eagle Drive, Waldport. Homeowner says electrical wall socket has melted. No smoke or fire seen. Homeowner has turned off power to the house.

NEWPORT SAT TEST TO BE RESCHEDULED
The Scholastic Aptitude Test (SAT) scheduled for Saturday, December 7, 2013, 8:00 a.m. at Newport High School will be rescheduled to Saturday, December 21st (same time and location). The College Board will attempt to contact all students involved to notify them of the changes. Students with questions should contact their high school Counselor on the next school day.
