Line Dancing Class at Newport Senior Activity Center
Newport Senior Activities Center is offering Line Dancing with Maggie Bice. Maggie, having taught line dancing for nearly 15 years, volunteers her time and expertise for this free class at the NSAC. Classes are from 2-4 PM, and continue through September, 2012.
Classes currently are divided into two groups due to the large response of dancers. The first hour of class will be dedicated to experienced dancers and the second hour for starters.
Line dancing is a great low-impact exercise, which engages your mind as well as you body, improving coordination, balance, memory, and other great benefits, including socialization with others who enjoy this fun-paced class. A variety of musical styles are enjoyed while learning basic steps such as Let’s Chill, Bosa Nova, Waltz Across Texas, and Come Dance With Me.
Please call NSAC at 541-265-9617 for registration and additional information. Come by and see us at 20 S.E. 2nd Street, next to City Hall, and check out our website at www.newportoregon.gov/sc
