Chinook Winds steps up to the “plate” at Seafood & Wine

CHINOOK WINDS CASINO RESORT ACQUIRES EXCLUSIVE SPONSORSHIP

In an unprecedented move, Chinook Winds Casino Resort successfully secured the Presenting Sponsor position for the 2013 Newport Seafood & Wine Festival. This two- year consecutive standing is a clear demonstration of this organization’s commitment to the economic wellbeing of the central Oregon Coast.

The Newport Seafood & Wine Festival, now going into its 36th year has been a flagship event for the central coast area. This community fundraiser draws together local leaders, business establishments, and non-profit organizations for a four-day celebration of Northwest wineries, artisans of varied mediums, and a wide selection of seafood, an intrinsic commodity to our region. Nearly 20,000 visitors will join coastal residents the last weekend of February, nearly tripling the number of people in the Newport area. This gathering provides a significant economic boost in the winter months that is vital to the financial health of many local establishments.

As the exclusive Presenting Sponsor for the 2012 festival, the Chinook Winds Casino Resort team provided an impressive presence at the festival site last year, with black jack tables, complimentary giveaways and cooking demonstrations. For the 2013 Newport Seafood & Wine Festival, there will be no exception and attendees may expect a repeat of last year’s fun.
