Now that the antenna is up and the transmitter is being hooked to it, all eyes are turning to the next phase of KYAQ’s “Radio-Active” quest to better inform the residents of Lincoln County about what’s going on around them. And that includes building out a studio they now have at the old Mary Harrison School/Olalla Center in Toledo.
It’s about equipment. They’ll be raising funds for audio equipment so that interviews can be done on issues facing the county and its citizens – such that they can be pre-recorded or processed for broadcast later in the day or the week. Some equipment is being donated but there’s still much more that will be necessary to purchase to make the studio up to date and productive.
So…literally STAY TUNED to 91.7, KYAQ Community Radio when it hits the airwaves very soon!
