From Lincoln City Police
Mathew Self, age 29, of Lincoln City was recently taken into custody for parole violation, after he led officers on short foot pursuit near the Tanger Outlet Mall. Mr. Self is currently on post prison supervision for burglary and is a person of interest in several cases being investigated by Lincoln City Police.
Self was spotted in a vehicle at the Shell gas station near the Tanger Outlet Mall and stopped by Lincoln City Police. Self attempted to flee on foot and was apprehended a short time later hiding near the Dolphin Motel. Also arrested was a passenger in the vehicle, Jessica R. Swanson, age 25, of Lincoln City. She was arrested, after initially giving a false name, for outstanding warrants from Multnomah and Washington Counties for Parole and Probation violations. Both subjects were lodged in the Lincoln County Jail.
Lincoln City Police, assisted by the Oregon State Police, served a search warrant at Self’s residence at 824 SW 9th Street. The search warrant was in connection with several burglaries in Lincoln City. Police located and seized numerous items of evidence and recovered several thousand dollars worth of stolen property. The cases are still under investigation.
