The Children’s Advocacy Center of Lincoln County just received this very moving video from a national group advocating for abused children. Child abuse is far more widespread than is reported in the news media because so much of it is not reported to the appropriate authorities.
Those who would like to learn more about how to spot the symptoms of child abuse in childrens behavior or how to act as a responsible “go between” to ensure a child gets the protection and help they need, they can take advantage of specialized training offered by the Children’s Advocacy Center of Lincoln County. They have day and evening sessions. After just two and a half hours of training you’ll know a lot more than you ever thought possible about what’s going on around us and how it is hurting our children – which can stay with them the rest of their lives – involving alcohol and drug abuse, problem behavior and other life-destroying effects.
