From Devils Lake Water Imrovement District (DLWID)
Water Quality – HABS Update: Water Contact Advisory can be lifted.
Final results from the sampling of Devils Lake on November 7th confirm that toxins Microcystin, Anatoxin-a, Cylindrospermopsin, and Saxitoxin are all below the level of detection and thus significantly below the state’s guidelines for listing. Final results for cell count data also are well below the state’s thresholds. Therefore the Harmful Algal Bloom Advisory for Devils Lake is being lifted retroactively to the sample date of November 7th.
This then concludes the water quality monitoring period for the District. Monitoring resumes around Memorial Day 2014 running through Labor Day. If you have any questions please do not hesitate to call or email.
