The Yachats Academy of Arts and Sciences is privileged to have Commander Rick Brennan, Commanding Officer of NOAA’s ship R/V Rainier, give a presentation on NOAA’s ongoing project of mapping the ocean floor right off our coast.
The program takes place at the Yachats Commons on Saturday, November 23 at 6:30 PM. The underwater videos are fascinating, revealing valleys, mountains, volcanic vents, as well as fault lines.
There is no admission charge for this program, but a $5 donation helps cover publicity expenses.
