The Oregon Chapter of the American Cetacean Society is having their monthly speaker series meeting on Saturday, November 16 at 1:00 PM at the Newport Public Library at East Olive and Nye.
NOAA’s Rick Brown will be discussing the Southern Resident Killer Whale studies as well as information on NOAA and the Newport operations. The Southern Resident Killer Whales are the Orcas of J, K and L pods. These Orcas inhabit the Salish Sea although their range extends from Monterey, CA to Telegraph Cove, BC.
