Depoe Bay woman booked for driving drunk and killing two people last summer on 101 north of Lincoln City

Oregon State Police (OSP) troopers arrested a 58-year old Depoe Bay woman Friday after an arrest warrant was issued in connection with a double fatal traffic crash in early August on Highway 101 just north of Lincoln City.
OSP troopers arrested PATTY A. WEISSENFLUH, age 58, at her residence on Friday. She was escorted from her home and transported to the Lincoln County Jail.
On the evening of August 4th on Highway 101 just north of Lincoln City, a 2001 Cadillac Deville driven by WEISSENFLUGH was traveling through a right curve when it crossed the centerline and collided head-on with a northbound 2012 Kia Soul driven by DONNA JEANNE BALL, age 71, from Salem.
DONNA BALL was transported by REACH air ambulance to Legacy Emanuel Medical Center in Portland where she died after about four hours after the crash. A passenger in the Kia, WILLIAM LEE BALL SR, age 74, from Salem, was seriously injured.
A passenger in WEISSENFLUH’s car identified as MILDRED M. KAUFFMAN, age 89, from Lincoln City, died a few days later.
WEISSENFLUH was seriously injured and later released from a hospital following treatment.
Friday she was formally charged with:
* Manslaughter in the Second Degree (2 counts)
* Assault in the Third Degree
* Recklessly Endangering Another Person (3 counts)
* Reckless Driving
* Criminal Mischief in the Second Degree
Bail: One half million dollars.
