Clackamas County hard conservative looks like she’s testing the waters to file against democratic Rep. Kurt Schrader
In what may turn out to be a distant replay of a battle Rep. Kurt Schrader fought and won back in 2010, may play out again in 2014. Conservative Clackamas County Commissioner Tootie Smith has announced she’s “exploring” a run against incumbent 5th District Congressman Kurt Schrader, a democrat, who belongs to the so-called Blue Dogs in the House. The Blue Dogs politically hang out in the “inbetween” philosophies of Right vs. Left. Smith contends that nine out of ten times Schrader votes liberal. Schrader’s chief of staff retorted, “That’s better than having Smith voting 9 out of 10 times for the Tea Party.”
