Earlier this week a 60 year old landmark of the First Baptist Church in Toledo was demolished.
It was decided that the steeple needed to come down due to considerable rot. The demolition was completed by Richard Iverson Construction, and Devlin Thompson Construction.
Richard and Devlin took down the steeple piece by piece using a man-lift provided by Newport Rental. After a day and a half of taking turns using a sawsal, they turned to the chainsaw to remove the final pieces.
Pastor Mark Brazelton will be considering ideas to replace the steeple in the near future.
