The Crown City String Quartet with violinists Isabelle LaForet Senger and Ralph Morrison, violist Carrie Holzman Little, and cellist Dane Little will present the next OCCMS concert on Saturday, October 26 at 3:00 p.m. at a private home in Little Whale Cove, Depoe Bay.
The CCSQ program will include Haydn String Quartet in D Major, Shostakovich String Quartet No. 1, and Mendelssohn String Quartet No. 2.
Performances by CCSQ have been described as “sublime” and “simply moving and spectacular” since their founding in 2007. They are known for their work in California Motion Picture and TV recording studios as well as renowned music organizations that include the Los Angeles Chamber Orchestra, Pasadena Symphony, Los Angeles Opera Orchestra, and the San Diego Symphony. The CCSQ are regularly featured as the premiere group in the High Desert Chamber Music Series in Bend, Oregon and the prestigious Bach Music Festival in Eugene. In addition, CCSQ are involved in Educational Outreach efforts and regularly conduct performances at Renaissance Arts Academy and several Central Oregon schools.
The members of CCSQ have come together from different parts of the U. S. with many individual accomplishments. Violinist Isabelle LaForet Senger is a founding member of CCSQ, now lives in Bend, Oregon and is the Founder and current Executive Director of High Desert Chamber Music. Ms. Senger has also worked with numerous celebrities, composers, and TV series and has produced and performed a “Fiddle Recital” CD. Violinist Ralph Morrison has served as Concertmaster for several prominent California orchestras and was prominently featured in muralist Kent Twitchell’s “Harbor Freeway Overture” in Los Angeles. Carrie Holzman Little has performed under the direction of Leonard Bernstein and Maurice Abravanel and is Assistant Principal Viola of the Pasadena Symphony. Dane Little is a sought after performer in Los Angeles and is Assistant Principal Cello in the Pasadena Symphony.
