Support Salmon Habitat Restoration at October 27 ‘Night Out for Salmon’:
Order by September 30 to receive additional raffle tickets with your purchase!
Salmon Drift Creek Watershed Council invites you to join us in a celebration in honor of the salmon and everyone who supports salmon habitat restoration. The party starts at 5 PM at the B’nai B’rith Camp in Lincoln City. Your ‘Night Out for Salmon’ ticket includes dinner with dessert, a beverage (wine or craft beer), a raffle ticket and access to our silent auction. Tickets can be ordered and paid for on-line or by check for $45 ($20 tax deductible). Patrons ordering before September 30 receive an additional three raffle tickets. For more information and reservations, visit www.salmondrift.org.
Chef-extraordinaire for last year’s event, Brett Sommermeyer, is again developing a gourmet menu featuring locally farmed and foraged seasonal ingredients. This year’s dinner will feature salmon-safe wines from wineries such as Soter Vineyards and Evesham Wood and Deschutes Brewery River Ale to pair with Oregon’s Fall farm, forest, river, and ocean bounty supplied and prepared by SDCWC’s extraordinary volunteers and donors.
As you listen to live music from Tom O, check out the many special silent auction items donated by SDCWC’s supporters from the local community and from around the state. Bring your checkbook or credit card to the event so that you can be sure to take home unique, ‘green’ and must-have items, services, or travel/adventure experiences such as a white water kayak, a weekend at Sun River, rounds of golf from several ‘green’ courses, salmon-safe Oregon Pinot Noir from Cameron, Eyrie, and Illahe Wineries, as well as many other items.
This year’s raffle grand prize is a weekend stay at a luxury home with a stunning view of the Salmon River Estuary. Raffle tickets are $5 each, 3 for $10, or 8 for $20. You need not be present to win the raffle grand prize.
With the help of event sponsors including Oksenholt Construction Company, North Lincoln Sanitary Service, Pacific Chiropractic, Columbia Bank, John L. Scott Real Estate, and Chinook Winds Casino Resort, we are able to host ‘Night Out for Salmon’ in a handicapped accessible venue with convenient parking and speedy electronic auction check-out.
Funds raised at ‘Night Out for Salmon’ will support SDCWC’s many ongoing activities such as estuary and wetland restoration and protection, in-stream habitat enhancement, long-term water quality sampling program, a collaborative Native Plant Nursery, and efforts to coordinate volunteers to monitor and assist spawning Coho salmon as they cross Rock Creek on East Devils Lake Road.
