Thursday Toledo Street Market News
Going. Going. Gone!
Thursday September 26th marks the end of this year’s Thursday Toledo Street Market. The forecast is for a nice sunny day, the beautiful flower baskets on Main Street are still abloom with color and it will be your last chance this year to meet and chat with the local artists, crafters, photographers, woodworkers, and consultants who have graced Main Street Toledo with their creations, wares and produce.
At the Market’s celebration dinner last week many stories were told of the connections made, neighbors met, friendships gained and how wonderful it was to create an original and special item for this person or for a special event. Several of the weekly vendors now have their products sold in stores along the Central Coast due to connections made at the market.
The Market has grown this year with many new vendors added and more to come next year due to the efforts of market manager Carol Boysun and the Toledo Market Committee. She thanked members of the Toledo Downtown Association who sponsors the market and voiced appreciation to the merchants of Main Street who opened their doors and welcomed market visitors and assisted vendors when needed. Although there was some sadness that the season has ended, everyone agreed with one thought, “we can’t wait for next year!”.
The last Thursday Toledo Street Market for the season is Thursday September 26th from 10:00 A.M. to 3:00 P.M. The market accepts Oregon Trail cards and SNAP benefits. For more information you may contact Carol Boysun at (541) 336-2064 or at firstname.lastname@example.org.
