Get TEED OFF ABOUT DOMESTIC VIOLENCE: A Golf Tournament October 5, 2013
My Sisters’ Place (MSP) is excited to announce their upcoming golf tournament at Chinook Winds Golf Resort in Lincoln City. Whether you are a pro golfer or a beginner, this tournament’s for you! It’s all about supporting our local nonprofit program and having fun at the same time.
Teed off about Domestic Violence is an event to raise money for Lincoln County’s nonprofit domestic, sexual, and dating violence prevention and intervention program. This event will bring in funds that are needed for services, such as support group, court advocacy, 24-hour crisis line, and emergency shelter, to local victims. MSP executive director, Karen Shores, says that “Victims and their families reach out to us for information, crisis intervention, support and safety planning. Because we serve almost 1,000 victims every year, we rely on our community to ensure these critical services are available.”
The Tournament is a four-person scramble and everyone is welcome. Sign in begins at 8:00am, followed by a shotgun start at 9:00am. Registration is only $99 a person or $360 a foursome and includes lunch, green fees, power cart, range balls, a free can cozy, chances to win great prizes (including some wonderful golf packages) a silent auction, opportunity to purchase mulligans, and an endless amount of fun!
