Gleneden Beach to lose power Tuesday night into Wednesday morning, 11pm to 5am – equipment maintenance.
Pacific Power says that about 1,100 homes in the Gleneden and Salishan areas will be without overnight electric service from 11pm next Tuesday through 5am Wednesday. Pacific Power says they need a complete shut down of power in order to do some maintenance on a local substation.
Pacific Power said wind-up clocks with alarms will be the way to go, or simple battery operated clocks with alarms loud enough to wake you up in time to go to work.
The outage will be from the signal light at 101 and Salishan (including the spit) all the way south through Gleneden Beach. Depoe Bay itself is NOT affected, according to Pacific Power.
The traffic light at Salishan will not be operating so motorists should exercise extreme caution when approaching the intersection between 11pm Tuesday and 5am Wednesday.
