It’s going to be a warm one today – possibly in the 80’s
The Weather Service is predicting rather toasty temperatures across northwestern Oregon today with inland high’s well into the 90’s and coastal communities seeing temperatures rise 15 degrees above normal – which could put our daytime high today approaching 80; certainly at least that in Toledo, Rose Lodge, Tidewater and the upper reaches of the Yachats River Valley.
Be especially careful with dogs in the car. Even outside temperatures in the 60’s in bright sun are a real threat to their ability to maintain proper body temperature.
For those with heat sensitive medical conditions you’re recommended to stay indoors. The level of exercise normal for the coast should be moderated somewhat since running in 55 degree weather is completely different than running when it’s 85.
Common sense please.
