Lincoln County’s Narcotics Team arrested a couple of locals this week on drug charges stemming from an investigation that led them to a residence on NW 16th in Newport. The area of interest was a detached shed next to the main house, according to authorities. Those living in the house, they say, were not implicated.
Inside the shed, officers say they they found a quantity of methamphetamine and hashish. An adult female was also interviewed by investigators but was not arrested.
Arrested for manufacture, possession and delivery of methamphetamine, and possession of fentanyl and hashish, was Stephen Harbin, 31. His bail at the jail was set at $500,000. His alleged partner in crime Tyler Hurlbert, 24, was arrested for possession of heroin and meth. Hurlbert’s bail was set at $100,000.
