A million and eight things to do before school starts… in just 5 days! But, few have any doubts that when buses roll down school driveways on Tuesday morning, teachers, staff and school buildings will be ready for the new school year that starts Tuesday, September 3rd
— The brand new Waldport High School has passed final inspection and received its occupancy permit. Of course, there certainly will be items to complete on the construction punch list, but the school is substantially completed and ready for school to begin
— Workers were sprinting toward the finish line this week to wrap up classroom renovations at Sam Case Primary, Newport Prep Academy & Crestview Heights School. Please pardon the dust and the smell of fresh wax!
— The “to do” list of bond projects is almost entirely checked off. Remaining projects include such “smaller” jobs such as upgrading heat systems and controls, some roofing, etc.
— Speaking of Waldport, mark your calendar for the evening of Wednesday, Sept. 18. That’s when the new WHS building will be officially dedicated, in conjunction with the Crestview Heights School Open House!
