Important Parent Meetings
Newport High School and Newport Prep Academy are having important parents meeting August 27 & 28. Topics will include:
1. Explanation of a new grading system. With the passing of Oregon House Bill 2220, students will see a dramatic change how their work will be evaluated.
2. Newport High/Newport Prep Academy will switch to the nationwide Common Core State Standards in language arts and math.
3. “Intervention & Enrichment Wednesdays.” Students will have roughly 90 minutes on Wednesday for extra support.
