On Wednesday at approximately 1 PM the Toledo Police Department and Lincoln County Sheriff’s Office began investigating a report of a missing person.
Quinton Oliver Selvog, 55, of Toledo was last seen on Monday at Olalla Lake, where he went to swim with friends. Mr. Selvog became separated from his friends and was last seen in the upper part of the parking lot near the boat launch at around 3 PM.
Mr. Selvog is described as a white male adult, 5’7”, 195 with brown hair and blue eyes. He was last seen wearing blue shorts an orange sleeveless tank top and sandals. Mr. Selvog was a passenger in a red four door Audi sedan. Mr. Selvog was reported to be intoxicated.
Mr. Selvog is reported to be very familiar with the area and may have been seen hiking some of the trails that surround the lake. Mr. Selvog also may have been seen walking the road from Olalla Lake to Highway 20.
On Thursday, the area surrounding the lake and the lake itself was searched by Members of the Lincoln County Sheriff’s office Search and Rescue, Mounted Posse and Marine Patrol and Members of the Toledo Police Department. Personnel from the Oregon Department of Forestry also assisted in the search.
Anybody who may have been at the Olalla Lake on the afternoon of Monday August 19, and who may have observed or had any contact with Mr. Selvog is asked to call either the Toledo Police Department at 541-336-5555 or the Lincoln County Sheriff’s Office at 541-265-4231.
