The public is invited for a free bike and pedestrian safety instruction training, 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Friday, Aug. 23, 2013 at the Newport Recreation Center, 225 SE Avery Street in Newport, room #117.
The training is available to anyone interested in learning more about teaching bike and pedestrian safety to youths. It will be taught by Lynne Mutrie of the Oregon Safe Routes to School program. This will be a great opportunity to learn more about bike and pedestrian safety outreach and meet others interested in the topic.
