Fire in the shaft alley due to a faulty heater

Report of smoke coming from below decks aboard the Research Vessel Fairweather tied up at the NOAA docks. Fire Rescue personnel are enroute.
1:55am
Reports from those aboard tell 9-1-1 that the fire was a small one and that they have put it out. Newport Fire crews are on scene to make sure it is dead out.
2:30am
Turns out there was a heater in the ship’s shaft alley that malfunctioned. Fire out.
