Ken Gagne tells us he and his pal Greg Anderson were taken out 50 miles from shore today to go get’em some Albacore; courtesy of Ellis Emory and his Grady White 29 footer.
And boy did they make a haul. Three guys and 34 Albacore before 1pm. That’s very EEEEE-ficient fishing!!
Greg’s catch of the day looks to weigh 30 pounds or better.
They got back into Newport at around 3pm and had some of the tuna sliced and filleted. Some still remain on ice with plans to get about 15 of them reduced down to where they’ll fill up a huge mountain of tuna cans.
