From the Toledo Street Market
Looks like the word has gotten out – no other market on Oregon’s central coast has the variety of hand crafted items, picnic fixins, art, photography, plants, just picked produce and eggs and quaint, small town flavor of the Thursday Toledo Street Market. From the vendors, the Main Street merchants, the Toledo Downtown Association and the many volunteers who make it happen, “thanks, we’re glad you’re here”!
The Market is thriving and the smiles and new friends that are being made weekly make it a pleasure to shop and chat awhile, have a bite to eat and find that special something you’ve been looking for. Don’t miss stopping by the Market table in the lower parking lot where you can pick up maps, menus and brochures that tell the story of Toledo Oregon.
This week the market is inviting you to come back for the Friday Block Party from 5 P.M. to 7 P.M. There will be much to see and do as the Toledo Fire Department and U S Coast Guard will be on hand to demonstrate bicycle and water safety. Mrs. Claus is letting Santa fix his own dinner and will be there to give away two bikes and helmets. Bring the family for this fun event.
Vendors of the Week are Polly Erickson of the Yaquina Bay Hotel and Jim Franklin. You’ll find Polly in front of the Hotel, be sure to check out her hand made items. Jim Franklin takes wood burning to a whole new level. You’ve got to check out his Redneck Wind Chimes and my favorite, his cribbage boards. Look for the red and white signs.
The Market is open for business from 10 A.M. to 3 P.M.
