In keeping with August’s First Weekend Toledo theme “Works on Paper,” Becky Miller Studio will be showing a collection of her watercolor paintings of animals, Oregon kelp, and tidepools. Additionally, she is experimenting with 3D oil paintings on paperclay.
Becky Miller Studio is located at 167 NE 1st Street, nearly a block above Main, and will be open from 10:00 to 5:00 Saturday, August 3. For more information, see www.BeckyMillerArtist.com.
The attached images are both watercolors by Becky Miller and are titled “Loved” and “Tidepool Textures.” “Loved” is a painting of a wonderful ewe named Elizabeth Swann who lived at Walker Farms in Siletz. She was hand raised for 4H by a young girl who loved her. Because she had been loved, she was able to interact with humans in ways most sheep never do, delighting everyone with her wonderful personality. The painting is intended to highlight the importance of raising farm animals with respect.
