Camp #inTENTSity – FREE Conference for Teens
The CARE Program will be hosting a free teen conference Wednesday, July 10th through Thursday, July 11th. The conference, the 1st Annual “Camp #inTENTSity”, is open to all Lincoln County area youth between the ages of 12 and 17. Camp #inTENTSity will be held at the Elks Tokatee Illahee Campground in Siletz.
The conference will kick off with motivational speaker Kyle Scheele. Other conference activities will include interactive workshops, entertainment, crafts and overnight camping. Meals are provided. The best part – it’s all FREE! The theme of the conference will focus on healthy relationships. Teens will learn the qualities of healthy relationships and how to identify an unhealthy one. In addition to learning how to form healthy relationships teens will also gains skills to support friends who are in an unhealthy relationship or who have been victims of a sexual assault. Teens will also develop self-esteem and positive self-image and learn how to respect both themselves and their peers.

Chaperones & Facilitators—we need you!
A large number of volunteers and chaperones are needed to make our summer teen conference, Camp #inTENTSity, a success. We are looking for individuals interested in being chaperones during the day on Wednesday, July 10th and Thursday, July 11th as well as individuals interested in camping overnight with the teens. We also are in need of volunteers to help with the cooking and serving of meals and snacks, setting up camp, supervising group activities and facilitating workshops. Volunteers will receive meals, lodging, a Camp #inTENTSity t-shirt and the good feelings associated with helping local youth! The conference will be held at the Elks Tokatee Illahee Campground in Siletz.
