Name Correction: Suspect is Matthew Kaehn

Toledo Police say a woman showed on the front porch of a neighbor’s house at 509 No. Main Street Sunday night, covered with blood, saying she needed help and that her boyfriend was going to kill her.

The residents immediately called police. Upon their arrival they began interviewing everyone in the home – all basically saying that the victim was very distraught and needed to be taken to the hospital for treatment of some nasty cuts on her forehead. The woman was transferred by Pac West Ambulance to PCH for treatment of her wounds.

Immediately, sheriff’s deputies converged on the scene and eventally found Matthew Kaehn hiding in some roadside blackberry bushes less than a block away.

Kaehn was transported to PCH to be medically checked out for some wounds he sustained. Kaehn was lodged in the county jail on two counts of Assault, six counts of Menacing and one count of Harassment. Kaehn is being held on $365,000 bail.
