Call for state parole board to reverse decision to free cop killer Sidney Porter after less than life in prison
Contending the that the state parole board had insufficient information during cop killer Sidney Porter’s parole hearing, many law enforcement officials are demanding that the board reverse its decision to parole him.
Porter was convicted of the bludgeoning death of John Day Police Officer Frank Ward in 1992 as officer Ward responded to a domestic violence call at Porter’s home.
Ward had served as a police officer for the former Waldport Police Department.
