Each year United Way asks the community to generously support the nonprofit network that serves its community. On behalf of the Retired and Senior Volunteer Program (RSVP), thank you for your generosity and thank you United Way of Benton and Lincoln Counties for advocating on behalf of the network of nonprofit services that act as a safety net for individuals in our community.
RSVP, as a United Way recipient, works to strengthen our communities through volunteer services as well as operating five healthy living programs to keep seniors living independently. The mission of RSVP is helping those age 55 and over “Re-invent their Retirement” through service to their community.
As a result, nearly 400 RSVP volunteers provided over 70,000 hours of service with a value to Lincoln County of over $1.5 million in 2012 with an emphasis of Seniors Serving Seniors.
RSVP volunteers are active throughout Lincoln County in areas, such as, the Meals on Wheels, the hospitals, SHIBA, the Oregon Coast Aquarium, and too many more to list.
Your contribution to United Way has made a difference in the life of a senior and will result in a better community for us all.
