Although it’s supposed to be fairly nice along the coast Monday, it isn’t expected to be nearly as generously warm as the past few days. This photo of Boiler Bay by Steve Power, just north of Depoe Bay, shows that cold marine layer roaring back into shore like a runaway bowling ball.
In newport, temperatures Sunday fell from the mid-80s to the mid-50s in less than 20 minutes. Winds to 30 miles an hour accompanied the cold fog that came with it.
The forecast for Lincoln County shows a ‘hard-right-turn’ back to “normal,” meaning daytime temperatures near the mid-50’s with only marginally warmer temperatures next week.
Warm weather was sure was nice…..while it was going on.
