Central Coast Fire Rescue was dispatched to a report early Sunday evening to a report that a tree falling crew at the Drift Creek Landing R/V and Mobile Home Park had damaged a home there and sparked a minor fire.
Upon arrival fire crews found a tree falling operation involving some very large trees. The falling crew had aimed the falling trees in a northerly direction away from homes. However, fire fighters were told that a piece of one of the trees snagged an electrical service line to a nearby home and that the tree damaged the home’s outside storage shed. The incident triggered a small fire but the falling crew told firefighters they quickly extinguished it.
