We see a lot of photos of Blue Herons here along the coast, but this photo submitted by photographer Donna Plummer was just too good to pass up. Rich colors, wonderful back and foregrounds makes us feel like we could just about reach out and pet it – not that any Blue Heron would even let us get closer than what’s provided by a 300mm lens!
