Young lady gymnasts from throughout Oregon are in town through Sunday
Nearly 450 young lady gymnasts are in Newport for a three day Pacific Edge Invitational to compete and enjoy the Newport area’s many amenities. Teams from throughout Oregon, along with some from Washington and California are competing for prizes, ribbons and bragging rights that are added to their gymnastic resumes. Newport Parks and Recreation helped to arrange the event which is bringing well over a thousand visitors to the Newport area. Here is just a brief look at some of the impressive performances these young ladies put on, which you can witness live if you stop by and take in some of the spectacle.
