Photographer Ken Gagne took an afternoon spin with his wife Tammy on New Year’s Day and each with their own camera, started shootin’ up a storm. Ken got this shot of two Bald Eagles perched on a log in the Alsea River no doubt waiting for something delicious to swim by. Then he also got a picture of two “Doryed up” Steelhead hunters waiting for the same thing except they’ll likely cook it first.
Tammy offered this velvety scene of a winter pond up the Alsea River with low clouds hanging overhead, gently giving way to a baby blue sky from the west. Then another delightful photo from Tammy of a most inviting “Alder path,” as Tammy called it, beckoning weekend adventurers to explore its in’s and out’s with the forests, wetlands and wildlife.
