Thirty-four foot white boat is stuck on something in the bay off Englund Marine. Five aboard. Coast Guard is enroute.
It appears that the Coast Guard motor lifeboat can’t get close enough to the marooned fishing vessel to get the crew off.
NOAA Research Vessel Oscar Dyson, tied up at the NOAA dock radios the Coast Guard offering their assistance. A few minutes later a large Zodiac type craft emerges from the NOAA facility and heads over to the stranded vessel. Within 15 minutes all crewmen from the fishing vessel are safely aboard the zodiac and headed for the NOAA docks. Rescue craft came from the NOAA R/V Rainier tied up near the R/V Dyson.
