Rock ‘n and Rollin with the Pineapple Express…
Strong winds and torrents of rain pelted the Central Coast and Willamette Valley overnight. It’s the re-arrival of what meteorologists call “The Pineapple Express” when the jet stream reaches down and pulls up wet tropical air and slams it ashore here in the Pacific Northwest. There are high wind flood watches and warnings about debris flows at the mouths of canyons through Tuesday and minor flooding near rivers and streams.
