An in-progress car break in was reported outside the Gallucci’s Pizza Restaurant Wednesday evening. The owner of the victim vehicle interrupted the thief as he was damaging the dashboard in trying to remove the car stereo. When confronted, the thief displayed an un-identified object and told the victim he was armed with a gun. The victim called 9-1-1.

About forty-five minutes later a sheriff’s deputy spotted a male matching the thief’s description sitting in a car in the 1800 block of NW 28th Street. The person was later positively identified as the thief.
