Morvie Colby, 90, has been found safe and sound in Gold Beach many, many, many miles from home. Friends say Colby, who suffers from mild dementia, was supposed to meet up with friends Monday afternoon in Lincoln City. She never showed.
Then at around 11pm Monday night, she was spotted by a Curry County law enforcement officer who quickly ascertained it was Colby. They say she’s being held pending pick-up by a family member or other responsible party.
Colby was supposed to make an appointment in Lincoln City earlier in the day. But 8 hours later she showed up in Gold Beach, 215 miles south of Lincoln City. Big sighs of relief are being heard tonight in Lincoln City.
