Lincoln City internet service for Century Link customers in Lincoln City still out, until Sunday afternoon.
A fiber optic cable accidentally cut in the Columbia Gorge knocked out internet service to coastal Oregon and Washington communities starting last Wednesday and service has been off and on through Thursday and Friday. It is now completely out we’re told. A Century Link service representative told News Lincoln County that they’re hoping the line will be repaired by Sunday at 1pm.
The line is reportedly one that belongs to another company and is leased by Century Link. A Century Link public information office was reported by the Cannon Beach Gazette News that Century Link working closely with the owner of the line to ensure it’s repaired as soon as possible. We’ll see how they’re doing by 1pm Sunday.
