Please come for a friendly game of Bunco, every 3rd Thursday at 1:00 PM, in the lounge of the Newport 60+ center. Julie Piontek has been leading the group for 5 years and welcomes all new players as well as beginners. Some Bunko players come from Seal Rock and others from Depoe Bay and car pooling is available.
This Bunko game is for fun and laughter. Julie said, “The best thing about Bunco is that it allows players to socialize, make friends, and have a good time while playing”. She also indicated that the game is a “no brainer” for people to learn. Staff in the office will attest to the excitement that ensues after receiving a BUNKO. The have had to shut the office doors due to the laughter that emanates from the BUNKO room. If players roll and get three of a kind (other than the number they are rolling for) they will have a “Baby Bunco”. The group generally has from four to five tables playing. The goal is for the head table to reach twenty-one points and the remaining tables can reach up to sixty points. Winners for each table will form a new table. Julie said, “The most enjoyable part of Bunco is the players having a great time”.
