Pew Research Center, one of the most credible polling institutions in the country, has released a comprehensive study of income trends in the U.S. over the past 60 years. The study reveals that middle class income growth stalled badly in the 1980’s while growth in income among the country’s top 5% skyrocketed. The last ten years have been slimmer for both the middle class and the wealthy, but far more so for the middle class.
