Story from Lincoln County Sheriff’s Office
An estranged woman contacted the Lincoln county Sheriff’s Office to report her husband, Dominic Anthony Andrizzi, 36, of Portland, had kidnapped another man from a residence in Canby and was forcing the victim to drive him to her location in Tidewater. The woman explained she had recently left Andrizzi and was hiding from him with her friend at a residence in the Tidewater area.
The woman told Deputies her friend’s husband called them and said Andrizzi had forced his way into his residence and demanded the man take him to where their wives were staying. The woman said her friend’s husband had been able to call them from a public bathroom near Corvallis to warn them they were coming.
At about 1:25 am, Lincoln County Sheriff’s deputies located the victim’s vehicle near mile post 9 on Highway 34. Deputies conducted a high risk traffic stop on the vehicle with assistance from an Oregon State Police Trooper and a US forest Service Law Enforcement Officer. Both Andrizzi and his victim were removed from the vehicle.
The victim told deputies Andrizzi had entered his Canby residence without permission and demanded he drive him to where their wives were staying. He said Andrizzi was holding a knife and yelling at him as he drove.
During a search of the vehicle, deputies located two syringes with methamphetamine residue in them among Andrizzi’s possessions.
Andrizzi was taken into custody and lodged at the Lincoln County Jail on Charges of Kidnapping I and Unlawful possession of methamphetamine. His bail was set at $300,000.
