A group trying to push the first non-Native American casino in Oregon has finally turned in enough voter signatures to qualify the measure on the November ballot. If approved, it would remove a state ban on casinos except on Native American reservations or property owned by them.
The last time the group tried to get such a measure passed, it was soundly defeated. But they’re back again.
