It’s always good to know where you’re going, especially if you’re a competitive swimmer. Your head is underwater a lot of the time so anything you can see to keep you more consistently in your lane is a big plus.
Enter the Newport Swim Team. They knew as well as anyone that the lane dividers at the Newport Pool were old and sometimes not easily seen. So they teamed up with the city and helped purchase new lane lines which will come in handy for the upcoming 47th Annual SeaHorse Swim Meet August 3-5 at the Newport Pool.
Team officials say the swim meet is expected to draw more than 300 young swimmers and their families over the three day event.
Although most of the competitors will be from out of town, when they hit the pool, they’ll know exactly where they’re going.
