A driver with out of state plates put a little too much foot in it Monday night, which caused his twin turbo Pontiac GTO to roar up Foulweather so fast, he failed to make it around one curve, lost control and then careened off the west shoulder into a clump of trees.
Witnesses said that the driver was driving extremely fast. An OSP trooper found the driver sitting in the passenger seat claiming he was not hurt. About ten minutes later the call went out over the police radio that he had changed his mind, admitting that he was in pain. And so an ambulance responded to the scene.
We didn’t stick around to see what kind of ticket the fella got, but it’s a good bet it’ll be expensive. His shiny GTO looked to be a total loss.
