The “Better Being Basketball” – better known as 3B – Hoops Camp takes place July 16-19 at the Lincoln City Community Center, 2150 NE Oar Place.
Now in its 8th year, the 3B program is committed to helping campers reach their full potential as players and people. Learning fundamental skills in a fun and positive environment is what 3B is all about: every day, players will be put through drills and game situations and given homework assignments emphasizing character and leadership.
The camp is run by Brant Minor, who was an all-state player at Grants Pass High School before playing division one basketball at the University of Portland. He is currently an assistant coach at Southern Oregon University. Coach Minor has worked camps for Pat Summit and Bruce Pearl at the University of Tennessee, Coach K at Duke, Coach Kent at Oregon, and many others around the country.
In the July camp, Coach Minor and his 3B Basketball staff will provide campers with the tools to excel both on and off the basketball court, all the while stressing the concepts of hard work and discipline.
Camp for children in grades kindergarten through 3rd will be from 10 a.m. to 11:30 a.m. and the cost is $35 per child.
Camp for youth in grades 4th through 8th will be from noon to 2:30 p.m. and the cost is $50 per child.
There is a minimum of 20 participants per camp.
For registration and more information see activenet.active.com/lccc or call the Community Center, 541-994-2131.
