Mother Nature gives her bird families a lot of persistence when it comes to building a nest. In the top picture, you can see two osprey tending to their “home” atop a tall power pole structure off NE 7th, just east of the county fairgrounds.
In the next picture you can see a Central Lincoln PUD crew removing the nest as a safety precaution. But later, in pictures three and four the osprey are back building their nest with a green vengeance. And when finished with the rebuild, in picture five you see a rainbow appearing over the top of the pole as a symbolic house warming gift. (Pure speculation on our part)
