Steve Power was hangin’ out in Lincoln City Saturday taking pictures of the annual kite festival struggling to get off the ground. Winds were rather light most of the day but as you can see some of the kites actually caught enough breeze to get up and stay up. But flyers had to do a lot of tweaking to keep them there.
The weather forecast had called for rain all weekend, but the National Weather Service was wrong much to the pleasure of kite festival organizers and promoters. A picture perfect day but, again, a little light in the wind department. The festival continues Sunday, running from 10am to 4pm.
